I was very surprised when I received this face paint and honestly thought I would be disappointed. At first glance, it looks like an eyeshadow palette and has similar ingredients. I bought some paint to use on my kids this Halloween specifically to paint my son's face like an oompa-loompa. I decided to do a test run to see if I needed to get something else instead of getting stuck on something at the last minute that wasn't going to work. For all that was said, I was pleasantly surprised. It works. Darker colors work best and offer very full and vibrant coverage. The lighter shades are a bit streakier and require a bit more layers, but overall I was satisfied. Another issue was that it wouldn't stand up to the socks of a 5 year old, but unlike traditional face paints, this one doesn't crack or peel, making it a pretty good option for younger faces! Don't discount this face paint at first glance! It does the job!
