Review on πŸ”Š Immerse in Superior Audio: VIZIO M-Series 5.1.2 Home Theater Sound Bar with Dolby Atmos and DTS:X by Monique Franco

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Great surround sound system if your TV supports eARC and Dolby.

The surround speakers on my entry level LG system were dying so I went to BestBuy and they had one of those open boxes for 2/3 the price of a new one. I did a little research and found that if you have a newer TV with eARC capabilities, this pack has great reviews. We bought the Vizio OLED last November and loved it, so thought it would be a modest upgrade for the price. How wrong I was That's STEAL even at retail. Setting up was pretty easy. For those complaining about the UI, yes it's a little wonky, but read the manual. You can adjust everything with the remote control with a tiny LED bar at the top that shows one variable (Surround, Center, Subwoofer, Bass, Treble, Pitch [for Dolby Atmos]. As you adjust, a series of indicators appear on the Soundbar that glows up and down with the adjustment level. It doesn't connect immediately until I set my TV to digital audio detection. After that, everything was smooth. To test it, I watched the first 20 minutes of Kong vs. Godzilla on HBO, as it was compatible with Dolby Vision and Dolby Atmos. Atmos works like magic, beaming sound at the ceiling that bounces in the right direction, giving you a 3D effect. The jungle felt alive like it was all around me around instead of shooting out of the speakers themselves. Except also, for a 6" subwoofer, I was surprised at how well it reproduced low frequencies. The rumble was like something out of a movie. Surrou nd speakers are good but not great. tschny. Elevate has the best speakers, like the flagship Vizio Em system. However, it's also $600 more at retail. The center channel and vocals are way better than my old LG; You can finally hear dialogue clearly without having to constantly adjust the volume. All in all, this is a fantastic surround sound system for a small home or apartment. The additional box alone is only 9x10x12. Unless you have a newer TV with eARC and Dolby Atmos or DTS-X support, the extra cost isn't worth it. I'm amazed
