They hang on our bedroom wall above each reading bed. This is way better than trying to read under the glare of our ceiling fan/light. I may need to try a light bulb with a lower brightness than the recommended maximum so my husband can sleep if I read after he goes to bed. The installation was a bit fiddly. We did not install in a wall box. My husband had to find longer screws to attach the wall light to the wall studs. In addition, the adjustable swing arms do not move easily. I think these lights are very good for the price and they look attractive.
