Review on 🏋️ Fulton 142208 Single Speed Winch - 1500 lbs. Capacity with 20' Strap and Cover (#1 Pack) by Charles Galan

Just witnessed a tragedy that any sailor hopes will never happen to them. When lifting and loading a beautiful boat onto a trailer, the winch strap burst! So I checked my old rusty cable winch again, looked very closely and thought - I can definitely be the next one! I did a review and decided that this was the one I would go for: Fulton 142208. Right out of the box I could say it was better than my old one. Took the old one off, wasn't as bad as I thought it was, in a rusty, weathered state. The new one was easy to put on, although I had to remove the spool for better access. I've never done this before, and those of you who've been through it are probably thinking, 'Hmm! Screwed in a new one, screwed in the coil. I attached the clip to the eye of the bow and twisted until the strap was tight. The tape does not wind onto the reel at all, so be careful. My fear that the strap might break when the boat is winched is definitely gone! I'm very happy with this winch and hopefully won't have to buy it again; but if I do I will not hesitate to buy it again. (I purchased this item myself and this is my personal unbiased review.)
