The cable has a thin center.
Small diameter black steel stay cable is rated for as little as 90 pounds of labor on other job sites. All distributors seem to claim around 480 lbs load but that is the maximum breaking load. Others have had issues with the cable breaking when using it at full length. I only needed cables 40 feet or less in length and had no problem even in strong local winds of 40+ mph. If you need to travel more than 50 feet or so I would suggest a larger steel cable setup. For me this kit worked fine. The equipment was sufficient, even a few left.
