I wanted to buy long socks that are not only warm but also comfortable. When light weight was mentioned, I figured it didn't mean too bulky (heavenly socks tend to be bulky). I know what ski socks should be, and these. Is not it. They are as THIN as my summer socks! As such, they don't offer the warmth or chin padding that I would have expected from the SKI SOCKS. Skeptical when I saw them and how thin they were, I tried them out because they were said to be made from merino wool. Today the temperature is so low that I feel cold toes. So unfortunately it didn't work for me. A plus would be that they are comfortable.
