We used this to bathe in the river when we were camping. We had hoped that the scent would repel mosquitos since its said they don't like lemongrass. That didn't seem to keep them off, unfortunately! Still needed bug spray.still though, the soap itself was very effective, we didn't feel slimy or anything when we rinsed off, and the peace of mind that the soap was biodegradable and wouldn't hurt the wildlife was well worth it!
