I bought them because they seemed cheap to me. With two kids we use a lot of batteries in toys, game controllers etc. My eldest usually goes through two AAs every 10 days or so on his Xbox controller alone. So I was happy to have found this product. A 48 AA and 24 AAA combo box at a decent price ahead of the holidays (and the inevitable increased battery demand afterwards). Unfortunately, you seem to be one of those "when it seems too good to be true" kind of thing. situations. There were two main problems. 1 package. When my package arrived I opened the box and saw three smaller boxes. Each of these boxes contained 24 batteries (2 AA boxes and 1 AAA box). The batteries were placed in these boxes in rows of four – each "four-pack” in individual packaging. A lot of plastic is wasted on packaging. While this might seem like a minor issue, I would prefer to buy from a company that uses more environmentally friendly packaging.2. qualitative. Roughly speaking, these batteries are garbage. I opened the first four packs of AA batteries. The first two batteries were empty within a few hours, the next two turned out to be defective. I don't know if we just had a bad batch (although I doubt it as other similar cases have been found in the reviews) but I'm sending these back. I'd rather pay a little more for a more reliable brand whose batteries work and last more than a few hours.
