Device best not to ignite

I bought it and when I took it out of the box it caught fire but as soon as I took it outside it stopped. I wear it in the sun most of the day but it never turns on. It's really hard to see that low to the ground unless it's lit, so it's basically just an address sign, only when it's sunny outside. I would go back but it was outside.
