Review on Setter 70 1197 Black Exhaust Header by Ronnie Segobiano

I installed these manifolds to replace cracked factory manifolds. Mounting it on my Pathfinder wasn't that easy due to the cramped engine bay. Once installed they work great. Pace Setter could have included some tips. A few points to consider. 1) They are factory painted black. Apparently they used $1.99 paint that is rated for 120 degrees. I do not recommend painting them with high temperature paint unless you are removing the factory paint. 2) I highly recommend installing a 2 inch exhaust sleeve such as DEI and high temperature spray silicone for the exhaust. Also use stainless steel tie-down straps. significantly reduce the heating of the engine compartment. I also strongly recommend installing the foil before installing the headers on the engine. allow easy removal if necessary and guarantee a perfect seal compared to U-clamps. I found that the overlap of my headers wasn't enough for the U-clamp to work. The Torca worked great 4) Cut 3 3/8 strips deep into the ends of the manifolds to allow the clamps to fit snugly inside the inner tube 5) This product does NOT comply with California Street Legal.
