Review on Grace & Grace Professional Saddle Stool Series: Backrest, Hydraulic Swivel, Ergonomic Design, Heavy Duty Metal Base - Ideal for Clinics, Dentists, Spas, Salons, Studios (No Footrest, Color: Black) by Greg Case

Revainrating 3 out of 5

A HUGE disappointment because the seat "grabs " and pushes away instead of letting you slide in.

Because it has a non-slip vinyl seat and saddle design, it's really difficult for me to sit on the seat when it's slightly elevated for the cutting/ironing station in my quilt. Studio. This is a big disappointment - it feels like it has too many 'teeth' and instead of being able to slide into the seat I have to maneuver both myself and the chair very strategically and make sure the chair is against one piece heavy furniture or a wall is pressed so that it doesn't fly away from me. I'm really sad because I was going to use this when working on my long gear quilting machine, but unless I can sit at a stationary table with a small hub it will never work. I guess I'll just consider it a waste of money and look for something better. I hate it when manufacturers don't think about what their product is used for and why using certain materials is never a good idea. boo I gave it three stars because it paces and its mechanics are fine. But since I can't use it that well, it could be a small fabric shelf.
