Well done, some compression; needs clarification on sizing

i am on my feet 40 hours a week or more on concrete and i do a little walking and my knee hurts which relieves the compression pretty well. I think they would probably give good compression if I went down a size. Anyway, I do feel some compression, but not to the extent I'd like. I think the problem with the sizing is that it says it should be 4 inches above the knee. Your starting point? This question was asked in the "Questions and Answers" section and there is no definitive answer to it. Someone said to measure from the middle of the knee, another said to measure from the top of the knee. Well I measured 4 inches above the top of the knee. , which brought me to the border between medium and small. I chose medium which was the wrong choice. In general, if you are between sizes and prefer more compression, choose the smaller size. But it's definitely a well made item and I'll probably order a compression to go with it. Socks because they seem like good company. (By the way, the manufacturer includes a "How do you like your purchase?" card with an address for comments, but I lost the card, so I didn't contact the manufacturer.)

Pros
  • practical item
Cons
  • so far so good
