Review on ATOMSTACK Filament: Elastic, Soft, Green Printing by David Caldwell

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Can't wait Cambrian

I bought this tpr rubber filament to learn how to use this type of filament for future projects. I'm currently using another Atom Stack model with a modified feeder so it doesn't get stuck in my head. Most Kickstarter product pages feature Crocs shoes, but I'm experimenting with parts that are exposed to grass or oil in a garage. These mask straps which I wear behind my head to avoid rope burns on the back of my ears are currently stiff due to the use of tpa but will now be flexible and have some pivoting range thanks to TPR. Best to test on small slicers as this filament is three times more expensive than tpa or pla spools. The boxes are slightly larger than a roll and can be stored and stacked when storing these boxes. An exact square is also cut out of the box so I can quickly identify the color. My order was mint white and yellow. The spool is made from thick clear acrylic, not thin black HPDE 6 plastic materials which are prone to cracking. The spindle also has a large bore to provide a smooth shaft during feeding and printing.

Pros
  • Wide compatibility
Cons
  • Crumpled packaging
