Review on High Definition Planar Helium PCT2435 Monitor with HDMI Connectivity - Model 997-9363-00 by Ryan Lewis

I bought this monitor to use with a Mac Mini booted up with Windows 8. Overall, the touch experience is great. The brightness and contrast of the display are also very good. It also comes with a built-in webcam. The camera works well but the sound quality is pretty poor compared to Skype on my laptop. He also has a strange problem with USB ports. When I connect a mouse and keyboard to the monitor, it keeps losing the USB connection (touch screen, mouse and keyboard stop working). If I just connect the mouse and keyboard directly to the computer, everything works fine. I'll soon be getting myself a Bluetooth mouse and keyboard in a battle with wires, but that's something to be aware of. When I plugged in a wireless mouse, touch stopped working at all. However, Planar's technical support has been outstanding. You are amazingly responsive and you will communicate with one person until the problem is solved. I also connected a cable box via HDMI. My only criticism is that adjusting the volume of the monitor's speakers is equivalent to pressing 4 buttons on the OSD when it seems like it should only be on the display. Other than that it was a great show.
