I'm not an audiophile or anything, but this works. Depending on how tight the connection to your device is, you may sometimes hear static; but there doesn't seem to be any distortion or static if you manage to plug it in properly and not move the connectors. One thing some of you should keep in mind when starting out with audio equipment. When you connect it to a cellphone, you may hear a hissing sound when you charge your phone too. Simply turning the phone off will largely eliminate this. It is probably a "grounding problem" with audio devices. Although I don't quite get it.
