Trail running shoe that does its job well

I had a pair of Hoka One One Clifton shoes and they performed well due to trail abuse. I walk on roots, granite and loose gravel, after about 10 months the shoes ripped and a tear tore a hole in my left boot. It's time for a new pair. Seeing that I was bound to this place for the next year, I decided to get some proper trail running shoes. I tried on the Peregrine Falcons and they are surprisingly snug. I had a blister on my ankle and the new shoes made the sore a little worse but I'd like to blame the shoes, I haven't broken them in yet. I've done trail runs around the mountain a few times and have been happy with the grip and my stride was more natural than the Hoka One One, they had more heel support than I'm used to. I am very happy with this pair of running shoes.
