I'm not usually a big fan of these fan stands. I've had previous ones that were low quality and didn't really do much in terms of cooling. Fast forward to my new gaming laptop and it was having overheating issues. Running for hours at 120 fps doesn't seem right for my laptop, so I figured one of these fans might help. My laptop reached 80 degrees after several hours of gaming. As a result, the game slows down a little every 10 seconds or so. I tried this fan hoping it would help and it did. Even after 2-3 hours of gaming my laptop was stuck at around 70-76 degrees. A small drop but it was enough to cool down my laptop and fix the overheating issue. The fans are loud, but not as loud as my laptop's fans, so the noise doesn't bother me. So far this thing keeps my laptop cool; I'm cool. Also, the red lights match the logo on my laptop, so that's a nice bonus.
