If you need it, this is a good option.
Like a faucet, love is not what I use to describe the canal part. However, I will say that this end adapter is the correct part. Instead of using a piece of 3" pipe to connect it to the valve, it is glued directly onto the flared end. This was my first attempt at gluing ABS fittings. Maybe I did it wrong. I got a quarter turn but I taped it and it seems to be holding with no leaks. It's good that it has a pin for the cover that holds the cable. I saved a lot of money fixing it myself instead of paying someone to do it.
