I bought this set of pillowcases for my small (but incontinent) senior dog who I love very much. It turns out that old spayed bitches often develop this problem. She pees in her bed while she sleeps and doesn't even realize it. He never pees indoors, he always asks to go outside, but seems to have poor bladder control now. So these pillowcases are perfect for protecting her bed from peeing as they really can't be washed (I spray taped the bed). I stuff a pillowcase with an old double throw to make a mattress pad and tuck her bed inside. When she pees on it I just take the filling out of the pillowcase, wash/dry and stuff it again. Having 2 pillowcases is ideal as I can switch between one clean and the other. I don't wash everything that way, except when it gets on the blanket ;( but oh well. it's an improvement and a lot cheaper than waterproof dog beds.
