This is NOT a switch. Read the description before buying. This allows you to quickly switch between two devices without having to plug and unplug them. Works great as described, but both devices cannot use Ethernet at the same time. When both devices try to connect, neither works. Only one switched-on device can be connected at a time. Useful when your jacks are hard to reach. Run the main line to an available location, then two more lines to each device, plugging in the one you need to use and unplugging the other (if enabled).
