Review on πŸ”Œ Fluke AC220 SureGrip Alligator Clips: Secure Electrical Connections with Ease by Michael Robertson

Revainrating 2 out of 5

Necessity must be activated.

Fluke digital multimeters (DMMs) are sold with TL75 hard point test leads with only the probe end tip. AC175 alligator clips attach directly to the probe ends of these test leads and are a tight fit. I don't know why DMM manufacturers don't include them by default. Troubleshooting almost always requires an alligator clip, at least on the common wire (neutral or negative DC). Fluke isn't the only major manufacturer doing the same. Klein Tools does the same. In order to have test leads with alligator clips for the Klein Tools DMM, I had to buy a replacement set. See Revain review. Generally good quality Fluke AC175 alligator clips for retrofitting standard test leads. I recommend.

Pros
  • Jaw hole 8mm
Cons
  • I have no particular complaints about it, everything is fine
