Great little stand. To be honest I wasn't expecting much for the price. But what I got exceeded all my expectations. First, the durable aluminum construction. At first I thought I would just use one setting. I quickly found that due to the glare on my Kindle Fire and where I'm sitting, two settings are perfect. If the design was cheaper, I would worry that the constant adjustment would wear it out quickly. But the mechanism is reliable. You cannot force the setting to be enabled or disabled. You must press the button fully. Now look inside the seat. Its dimensions are perfect for any tablet and probably most phones. (I've tested this on the Fire HD, iPad Air, iPad mini, and my iPhone 4s). Don't worry about the tablet slipping on the sides. The rubber seat and rubber plugs on the high side of the backrest keep it in place well. Therefore, even if it is hit, it will not fall out of the holder. In addition, the adjustable leg/stand is covered with rubber at the edge. This means that the grip remains the same on all surfaces, no matter what angle you need to place the stand. I even tested it on the bed. Works just as well as on the table. The tablet practically becomes one with the stand and due to the significant weight it can stand on the bed (when lying next to it) and does not tilt to any side even when turning, getting out of bed etc. Added bonus, this is a carrying case. While I can't imagine using it for the stand itself, it works great as a cable holder and charger. Right now, my backup USB drive, charger, and cable take up a bag. If I really need to take everything with me, I bet I can fit all of that plus the stand. Overall, if someone showed me this, let me find out, and then tell me they got it for $12-$15, I would ask them where they got it and buy it anyway. This is the 3rd or 4th stand I've had in this price range. I thought they were 1) cheap, 2) poorly designed, and 3) disposable. This stand is neither. If everyone got one of these, every other manufacturer would go broke, and so would TechMatte. Because no one ever has to replace them. The quality of TechMatte would actually put them out of business. Imagine if Bick made a pen that never ran out of ink! This is the equivalent. This is the last stand you need for your tablet or phone. Unless you have an unusually large tablet (I've seen a few at trade shows in Asia) they may not work with this one. But why do you need a giant tablet? Just remember to get a laptop (they are designed not to require a stand)
