Seems to work great!
I got this because I have other detectors of this brand and like them. This is good because it connects to my phone if there is a problem. Installation was no more difficult than a standard detector, apart from the application, which was not difficult to connect. I have it next to my children's room in the basement and it puts me at ease because it is next to the boiler room. I can't comment on the battery life since it's new. I'll get another one for mine upstairs.
