The thing works great on tiled hardwood floors and thin carpets, it's also very light so you won't break your back vacuuming. it's actually very easy to abuse, it can be a scam in some cases, but for $80 compared to the Dyson Cyclone V10 Animal POS (which I returned thanks to Costco), which costs five times as much and has a little less suction than the little one Hercules Dyson in every way except little Hercules has a chord. I know these are two different types of vacuums, so I'm not comparing apples to apples. I was looking for a powerful, lightweight, all-purpose vacuum and it definitely takes all of those boxes, plus it's inexpensive as they all come out. I even ordered a second one as a backup because if and when this thing fails I don't want the headache of finding something comparable.
