It took over 1 hour to clean the alloy wheels on our Boxster. Now wet the wheel, spray on a rim cleaner to loosen the brake dust. After spraying on all 4 wheels, using a nylon brush will prevent hands from penetrating through the spokes of the wheel. Washing the brush in soapy water and rinsing the wheel cuts the time down to 20 minutes. 5 minutes per wheel, including use of the cleaning brush on the spoke and spoke edge transitions. The wheels shine. Wheel polishing requires spokes, but every 2-3 months. This makes wheel cleaning even easier.
