I was in the same boat as the reviewers who gave this rating a star or two. Despite what it claims, if you buy it and put it on the shelf like I did, you won't smell it after a few days. To be effective, air must flow through the wick. I did this by placing them on top of the home's ventilation - when the heat or AC is on, the air flows through the wick and scents the room. I won't buy them again but they work fine with air flowing through them. I believe the company sells a dispenser with a small fan.
