Leather with a pleasant touch, no defects, even stitching on the edges. The kit contained two needles and two long pieces of thread. When applied, the edges of the leather came together without leaving a gap, yet were firm enough to stay in place. The hardest part of this accessory is the sewing and unfortunately the instructions for this are terrible. I watched several videos on YouTube. I used both needles to make the crisscross pattern and only used one length of thread (cut in half). Only at the beginning and end of each segment I tied off the existing thread instead of piercing the skin. Embroider slowly and don't get distracted. Be willing to undo some of what you have done. Better yet, bribe your wife to sew.
