Works decent. I don't think the vapor reaches the temperature it claims to be. I accidentally put my hand on the straight path several times while cleaning and almost didn't feel the heat. My hot shower is hotter than I felt. Then I deliberately put my hand directly on the path and still hardly felt the heat. My kettle also warms up the leg. I still don't understand what the lights actually mean. I figured the orange/amber light should come on when the stem is heating up and the green light means it's ready. The yellow-orange light came on as soon as I pressed the stem release button. Perhaps the stem will heat up again when released? But there were times when I let it heat up and the green light didn't come on, even after 3 minutes of heating up. Maybe I don't understand the lighting? He used a continuous stick for about 5 minutes. Not the stated 8 minutes. After using it for about a minute, the heat of the stem was no longer hot. So I don't think it's a way to use it continuously for 8 minutes as it's falsely advertised. I bought this thinking I had bed bugs and wanted to heat surfaces that they might infect. Luckily I don't think I have bed bugs, I think a tramp walked in and I panicked. But if I had an infestation I don't think this steamer would get hot enough to kill the eggs. So please don't buy to kill bed bugs. I give 3 stars and will keep it. There is a lot of old wood in my apartment that collects dust very easily and I find it very difficult to even wipe it off. So I used it to clean doors, windows and panels and it did a great job removing that dust. Which will help with my allergies.
