Soar has a "real" headphone amplifier and allows you to switch the gain level from within Sonic Studio. Why is "real" in quotation marks? Because the discrete amplifier I used with another sound card sounded better. This is especially felt when working with the equalizer - added bass, the overall volume decreased. But, I emphasize once again, the Soar has a decent built-in amplifier, and even with the ability to change the gain level. In headphone mode, the drivers do not allow you to change the configuration of the speaker system, which is generally reasonable, but there is a virtual 7.1 switch. In games that allow you to select acoustic parameters, the 7.1 setting appears, that is, it is clear that virtualization is taking place. It is difficult to say something about the quality of positioning, everything is individual here, but in general the sensations are purely positive. I haven't tried Sonic Radar PRO mode as I don't need it. Of the features of the card - it must be powered with a six-pin connector, as for video cards. This, I think, is a feature of all or almost all Asus sound cards, but this feature should still be kept in mind. The latest drivers from the site have a WHQL signature, no glitches were noticed.
