I've had my Aircom T10 for a week now and am very happy with how it works. to switch on and off. I checked the temperature first thing in the morning before turning on the entertainment system and the fans turned on and off. This surprised me, especially since the temperature of the probe was below my response temperature. I tried Auto mode for a few days but found the fans were loud enough that we could hear them in quiet scenes in a movie or TV show. I contacted tech support and got a reply the next day explaining that I would see big differences if I set the fan speed to "On" at maximum. in smart mode. Now the T10 was very quiet, we can't hear the fans at all. To recap, you can use the fan speed setting in On mode to customize how Smart and Auto modes work. I set the trigger temp to be 84 degrees, the probe temp usually reads the actual temp just below that. It varies between 82 and 84 degrees. I also changed the temperature increase from 4 to 2 degrees. I can go down to 4 degrees which keeps the fans running longer but turning on and off less often. Finally, some test reports here complain about the brightness of the display on the front. There are three brightness settings, but you can use the leaf button to turn off the display.
