Honestly, I treat these things like gold. You don't always need a 2 or 3 gallon zipper. I use these things for everything. And I mean absolutely everything. For example, if I want to freeze bacon, I split the bacon into 2 daily portions, put them in one bag, and then all together in another bag. Then I send it in the freezer. For now, all I have to do is open the bag and pull out my portion. I use them for onions, I only use 2 bags. I use them on cheese that's been sliced, lunch meats that I've opened up, salad, everything! I just have to have them for everything. Zipper bags are so much cheaper they don't leak, they are flexible and convenient. I even use them to collect my dog poo when I run out of dog poo bags. To be honest, I never want to be without them in my house again. If we're not there, it's kind of a tragedy, so I have to order more. By the way, I also use them for my husband's sandwiches because I have to cook him dinner every day. They work so well they don't open and I just twist the top and then just tuck them in. The best part is that I can use them over and over again if he leaves them in his lunch box because they don't really get dirty from a simple sandwich.
