I had a very small hole (1/4 inch) in my Pilates reformer vinyl cushion. I wanted to close this hole before it got too big. The hole was in the corner of the pillow where the vinyl is mounted. Following the instructions, I plugged the small hole with the cloth pad included in the repair kit. Then I put the leather spatula in the hole and around the hole on the outside. Then I placed the Grain Texture Release Paper on top of the wet putty (the hole was so small I didn't really need that texture paper). After 24 hours I removed the textured paper. The area is a bit bumpy, but renovations are underway in one area where this isn't a problem. I didn't bother applying paint as the pilates pad is a very light brown color and as I said not really in the area that catches the eye. For me this seems to have done the job. The proof will be when I start using the Pilates reformer on a daily basis.
