This skirt is a little short. When I saw it on the model I assumed it would be a bit longer on mine as most models tend to be 5'8" or taller. I'm 5'3" and small almost "not small for age", LOL, but there is an easy fix. It has elastic at the waist, the skirt can be worn on the hip for those who prefer to wear tighter at the knee. I don't know what gingham is but I like it. The fabric is very light, like cotton, but has a silky softness. Now all that's missing is a cute white top and you're done.
