They stretch well over the seat of the chair and the 4 drawstrings help keep it firmly in place. The downside is that the fabric covers the screw holes in each corner. Was able to slip between the seat and chair with a screwdriver and push the fabric back when screwing. I didn't want the seat cover or elastic edge to have holes that would unravel/break if the covers were removed for washing. Will likely wash stains and not remove the covers due to having to unbolt the seat etc. The finished look is very nice. The price is great, so it's worth a little adjustment.
