Review on 🎥 Marantz Professional Turret - USB-C Broadcast Video System with Full HD Webcam, Condenser Mic, LED Light Ring, and USB Hub by Rail Basri

I purchased this product for remote court appearances. I wanted something that looked professional and with some TV experience I figured this would be the ticket - the ring light would help me in my office which is a nightmare in terms of video lighting. The mic works pretty well and you can put it out of sight and people will know you have a cool mic. It has some nice sound balancing features and being a Marantz product I think their people know how to make something beautiful and they know how to make noise. The video aspect of this product is its Achilles heel. Even at maximum light the picture looked poorly lit and there was a lot of noise in the frame i.e. graininess. Sometimes there was a dropped frame where only noise was visible on the screen. Received a batch of a competitor's camera today and I won't name names but it was a top notch product from another company and it beats that product in terms of quality which is disappointing as webcams since 2008 don't seem to have had one have made progress or above. I thought I'd be more of a fan of the tower, but it didn't fit between my monitors and was short enough that I couldn't easily mount it behind my monitors. And because the legal practice is theatrical, with the tower pointing to the right to connect with the court, I made a habit of looking directly at the camera (the ring of light shone in my face) and couldn't really pay attention to the non-verbal ones Notes from the other parties and the court on video so it was a little harder to read the room.
