Please read the beginning of the guide before installation. It is important that you do not cut the zip tie holding the door to the gate prior to installation. I made the mistake of cutting the door tie when I took it out of the box and had to tie it with strong twine to mimic the plastic tie. Otherwise you cannot set up a gate. After installation I had difficulty opening the door to the gate, thinking the gate was faulty, but again a two step maneuver must be performed to open the gate. I bought the gate to keep my dog in the room but my 60 lb dog managed to break through by pushing the bottom of the gate outward leaving the top of the gate intact. These gates are ideal for small dogs.
