USB powered. Samsung TV with composite input. The TV will only acknowledge audio input if there is video input. The converter works in 2 modes for this purpose, either with an HDMI source connected to it, or with a remote HDMI input, then it will display color bars with the inscription no signal, in both cases the TV will receive a RCA-CVBS composite video signal and for the audio signal of the audio device, which is now played back on the TV.
