To be clear, I don't type much on my laptop when using this stand - it's more to be able to use my laptop screen as an extra monitor when using my external monitor. But I tried typing and it seemed pretty safe. I ordered one for my work laptop whilst working from home and I liked it so much that I ordered another for my personal one so I could be both ready and have the same monitor/keyboard/mouse setup over the KVM switch can share. At full height it's just perfect for me (6ft) as the top edge of the screen is at my eye level - best for ergonomic reasons. If necessary, it can also print quite conveniently. If you plan to use your laptop keyboard exclusively on this stand, you can check out other reviews.
