These fans are a little louder than I would like if I were to put them on a PC. I have used them in my small chicken coop and they do a good job there. A few fans run all night on my LiPO4 battery. I added a PWM speed controller to them and so far they work fine with it. They need some extra power to start, so you can't leave the PWM speed too low or they won't start. I'm not sure if the air is being pulled from the inside as much as it is from the sides of the fans - some work may need to be done to ensure they're pulling air out of the back of the case for maximum cooling effect.
