Only lasted a couple of weeks

I bought this to use on my Ender 3v2 3D printer as a motherboard fan installed in the 3D printed cover. It is connected to the mainboard via plug-and-play and has a powerful and relatively quiet fan. Significant upgrade of a small production fan. However, this only lasted a couple of weeks, so I doubt its reliability.

My fan doesn't work because the positive and negative cables were installed reversed!

Unlike some DC motors, this fan will not operate if the positive and negative terminals are reversed. Because the fan is connected to the board and the connector only works one way, if the wires are reversed in this small connector, the fan will not work. I wonder how many thousands of these things were made before anyone noticed? Anyway, very bad. the wiring was messed up. Otherwise it looks like a good fan.

You've done the obvious, which is awesome!

Molded motor mounts - the plastic pieces that hold the motor in the frame - they are molded in a semi-involute shape with a curve to form the stator vane. Jet engines use a rotor (fan) and a stator (fixed fan) of specific dimensions to compress air. This fan is designed to increase the static pressure of the outflowing air. That does not work. confused cables?

Photo 1: Connection to an old fan that I want to replace. Photo 2: Connection to a new fan. Note that the positive and negative wires are swapped. Maybe it doesn't work because the polarity is reversed? Otherwise the delivery was on time and I got everything I expected. When I spin the fan (manually) it seems to be silent (at 180RPM)! 😊. I hate giving bad reviews and want the fan to work!

The fan pushes out a huge amount of air.

I love this fan! I had issues with the cooling of three passively cooled RTX8000 GPUs in a 4U server, they consistently hit 75-80C under light load and 90C with Rapidsai. I bought this to use as a fan behind the GPUs and haven't seen any temperatures go above 45C. It's noisy, but it's for a server, and any actively-cooled server room in the data center is noisy. My Homelab server rack is in another room.

A bit noisy but good airflow with low power consumption

These fans are a little louder than I would like if I were to put them on a PC. I have used them in my small chicken coop and they do a good job there. A few fans run all night on my LiPO4 battery. I added a PWM speed controller to them and so far they work fine with it. They need some extra power to start, so you can't leave the PWM speed too low or they won't start. I'm not sure if the air is being pulled from the inside as much as it is from the sides of the fans - some work may need to be…

Works great - replaces Seasonic PSU fan

I have a Seasonic PSU for my FreeBSD server. The fan in the PSU seemed to be some kind of sleeve bearing that was worn out because it was starting to make a knocking noise. I decided that replacing the fan is cheaper than the entire PSU, so I bought this fan. Works perfectly. In fact, it looks almost identical - for example, the shape and number of blades are exactly the same. I don't notice any noise to speak of, and if it really is a ball bearing fan (didn't really test it before installing…
