Mini DV Cassette Rack

Minimum Shelves. It has no weight, so if you use it on a shelf like I did, you might have problems with it tipping over in the future. I don't think this was misadvertised, but the description could have been better.

Just need the cover Best in Accessories

I love the product - finally being able to organize ribbons instead of stacking them. But better is some kind of lid, preferably transparent, to exclude dust and the possibility of pouring it upside down.

Pros
  • 1 year trial
Cons
  • Available in white only

DV cassette stand for MiniDV

. I've expanded my tape library three times now and have always relied on these racks. They fit my needs perfectly and their size allows for a very flexible suspension.

Pros
  • All right!

Exactly what I needed; However, note the orientation of the stand

The world may be turning to digital video, but mini DV tapes still offer an unattainable level of digital media backup. This storage rack is very durable and perfect for keeping your ribbons organized. A word of warning, unless I'm wrong, tapes should not be stored for long periods of time with the reels horizontal to the floor as they would be in the rack photo. Therefore, when hanging on a wall or mounted on a shelf, the rack should have a "portrait" orientation. On the plus side, it's…

Good product in the accessories section

Holds Mini Dv tapes. What else can you say here? It holds 48 tapes. Can be wall mounted if desired. It's a really useful place to store all those home videos! My problem is this. I need another one! I have at least that many tapes left.

Pros
  • Sturdy construction
Cons
  • Without machine

MiniDV storage shelf

I don't have this shelf on my wall. Now he's lying on the floor with my cassettes. Tapes in their cases fit perfectly in the rack. I'll buy another one if needed.

Pros
  • Weight
Cons
  • Some small things

Good DV rack, what other alternatives are there?

Hard to find DV storage stand. This one is durable and fits them very well. Strange that it only has mounting holes on 3 corners and no screws are included, but 3 is enough to hold it in place and you'll probably need different screws depending on your mounting surface anyway. This makes the tapes much easier to organize than stacks of 10 on a shelf like I used to do.

Pros
  • High marks for support and durability from testers
Cons
  • Not as thick as other options

Storage requirements Masking tape

I have hundreds of Mini DV cassettes and during certain sporting seasons I add two or three cassettes every week. So a mini DV storage shelf seemed like a great idea. In fact, I bought several of these racks because I wanted to organize my cassettes. The problem with the racks is that they don't have a cover to prevent the straps from falling out of the rack. If I had to do it all over again I would buy a stand for Mind DV tape recorders with a clear cover on top.

Pros
  • Consistent test results
Cons
  • Newer model could have been chosen

Exactly what I needed; Be careful of rack orientation, though

The world may be turning to digital video exclusively, but mini DV tapes still offer a level of backup unavailable for digital media very durable and perfect for keeping ribbons in order. A word of caution: unless I'm wrong, tapes should not be stored for long periods of time with the spools horizontal to the floor, as would be the case with a photo shelf. Therefore, when hanging on a wall or mounted on a shelf, the rack should have a "portrait" orientation. On the plus side, it's perfect for…

A mini DV stand that won't disappoint!

As my mini DV collection grew out of control, I realized I needed a shelf to store it. I decided on Bryco MDV-50 and what can I say: very satisfied. The stand holds about 50 mini DV tapes and is very portable. You will have no problem placing it anywhere in your house or apartment. Small, compact and durable, it doesn't get any better than this. I plan to order another one soon. Although I don't have 50 mini DV tapes yet, my collection continues to grow and will eventually surpass 50 tapes. The
