Perfect for baby shower backlighting. The color is perfectly warm white. I also ordered a cool white and it was too blue for the aesthetic so I sent them back. It has 8 different settings, but I wasn't a big fan of the fact that the settings where it switches between flashing lights have different speeds. It is variable, meaning it changes from very slowly to very quickly. So there are only 2 or 3 of eight settings that eventually stop blinking frantically. "Remote Control" is also not a portable remote control. This is a rotating mode control box when connected to the wall. So if you don't mind plugging it in when you want to use it, or plugging it into an outlet with a switch, it works great.
