They appear to be of good quality. I bought it to polish the scratches on my guitar. The pads are made from low quality fluffy synthetic fibers that just didn't remove scratches from my guitar with auto scratch remover. I've had better luck with compound and a microfiber cloth. I've used detail cars for a live and they are more like buffer pads that I used on my buffing machine. I recently bought a 7 inch burnisher and will be buying the same type of pads for it. I would buy the same brand but couldn't find a 7 inch pad. Rest assured this pad is way better than the 3 inch pad. Also, the edges of the substrate are folded over to cover the edges of the substrate and prevent the ink from being squeezed out.
