Not dry erase? in Games & Accessories

So for the most part they're pretty good - I haven't had any issues with things like dirt, stains, creases or anything else from the packaging and they're a lot thicker/stronger than I expected. The box is handy for storage if you put some cardboard cork in it to keep the tiles from sliding all over the place. However, if it's a dry erase material, they certainly don't behave like any dry erase material. familiar with. I made a few marks with decent quality markers (not Walmart :p). Just half an hour after the marks were there, I just couldn't erase them. You'll see marks in the picture - and I wasn't able to until after I scraped them out of hell! I understand it's possible to "smudge" a dry erase board by leaving marks on it for too long, but... half an hour? That's hardly an appropriate amount of time to use them for a tabletop RPG session. Yes I suppose I could wash them with alcohol to clean them but they are advertised as "wipe dry" - I wouldn't need to do that after so little use. Unfortunately, this makes them unusable for my purposes and I will be sending them back. I highly recommend using them ONLY for wet erase marking - I've never tried it myself so I have no idea how they work, but their dry erase performance is mediocre at best unless you're into tennis elbow!
