Review on 🔥 High Density Round Fiberglass Rope Seal for Wood Stove Door Gasket - LibertySupply 7/8" (8 ft. roll) by Adam Vang

I ordered this for Lopi M380 which was already installed when I bought my house. This is a discontinued model so I'm having trouble finding the size of the original door seal. Most of my research pointed to 7/8 inch lay rope, not 5/8 inch rope. I almost bought a different installation rope but the reviews showed it was hollow in the middle and didn't seal as well as I would like and recommended a high density rope. I ordered a month and a half ago and only now got around to installing it. Here are my pros and cons: Pros: - 8ft of rope was enough for both doors and I had about 2ft more left - Tight rope is exactly what I imagined and wanted - The end of the rope was taped to prevent fraying during installation - Easy to install - Made in the USA. Cons: - $30 seems a bit expensive but I really don't know how much other fiberglass rope would cost. The rope is exactly what I was looking for, so I would buy it again even at this price. 7/8 inch rope works great for double oven doors, but I definitely had to manually close the doors due to the high density and diameter. I don't have adjustable hinges so the main bottleneck was the back edge of the door next to it. I actually tried stretching this piece of cord to make it a little thinner. After the door finally latched I let it sit overnight to allow the cement to set and tested again this morning. The doorknob got a little lighter but I went further and closed it even tighter to make sure I had a good seal and the door wasn't a problem opening and closing. That being said, if I were to buy high density rope again I would go with 5/8" rope instead. None of the issues I had were related to the rope itself, they were issues with my furnace and my underestimation of density of this rope I would buy more but a smaller diameter.
