Review on Minka-Aire F582-GL Rainman 54 inch Outdoor 🌬️ Ceiling Fan: Galvanized Finish with Integrated Caged Light by Kofi Wills

This fan looks nice and its price tag around $400 labeled "Nickel" should be of good quality. It is not. A little over 12 months after installation on an open porch, with no direct rain, the surface finish is rusting. If you need to be convinced, you can look at our photos. What is this product, a cheap base metal with some kind of "nickel" (? maybe?) coating that lasts for months before rusting underneath. I have the option to return this at our full cost - took 4 hours to install, same would take dismantling so it's not practical. I'll probably have to replace it in a few months - it's cheaper and less time consuming. This product will no longer be a replacement. DO NOT BUY THIS FAN IF YOU THINK IT WILL WITHSTAND THE CONDITIONS OUTSIDE: IT WILL NOT.
