I don't know why everyone says they sound great. It's like listening to an 80's portable radio or using a tin can with a cord. I tested them on 5 year old 3.5mm headphones and they didn't last. I bought these because my new phone didn't have a 3.5mm port, but I ended up getting an adapter for the same price as these headphones. I'm not sure if the Type-C connector affects the sound quality compared to 3.5mm, it might just be the cheap quality of these headphones. I'm sure they work well for phone calls but definitely not for music and videos. If you don't want to mess around with an adapter, find another pair. There are headphones in this price range that are much better quality or just a few dollars more.
