I bought these for a wedding to hide a 4mth post baby belly and to be no higher than the belly button (because you can see thru the dress in spots) and they did the trick! The waist did not roll down but the legs did roll up. However I hardly noticed it so it didn't bother me. Im 5'3" and 145 lbs and got the medium based on the measurements but I feel like I could have gone down a size for a little more belly compression.
