After reading many negative reviews about this iPad case I didn't know what to expect when it arrived. For those reviewers who stated that the cutouts on the lid don't match the camera, volume buttons, etc. on the new 2017 iPad - I'm not sure they actually put the correct model of iPad in that lid. All cutouts were perfectly matched to my 2017 iPad model. As for the reviewers who mention that it's made of plastic, the iPad's auto power on/off doesn't work with the magnets built into the lid and doesn't lie flat against the screen. That is only partly true. It really is hard plastic, but what do you expect at such a low price? This is a cheap alternative to a better $50 case. It may not withstand a 3 foot drop, but for those who are careful with their electronics, it offers a level of protection that is better than nothing. It turns my iPad off when I close the lid on the iPad screen and it actually lies flat on the screen when closed. When unfolded, the horizontal and vertical stands make an excellent stable platform on a desk or movie table. or sending emails etc. As little as I spent on this case I was very happy with the quality it provided.
