Review on Milliard 2 Inch Ventilated Memory Mattress by Jessica Erwin

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Great for my fibromyalgia but only lasts about a year and after that it loses firmness

This mattress pad combined with IKEA's Myrbacka mattress is the perfect combination for me. The Myrbacka mattress provides a firm platform that doesn't sag and the perfect amount of padding around my joints and sensitive areas. I have fibromyalgia. Before receiving this pillow, I woke up with pain in my elbows, sacrum, neck, shoulders, heels, etc. The mattress pad holds those tender ribs with just the right amount of softness so there are no hard pressure points anywhere. my body. I was worried the pillow would be hot or make me and my husband (he's a sweaty sleeper) terribly hot. We are both temperature sensitive and need breathable fabrics. The mattress topper does not get hot at all. In fact, I find it more comfortable than the mattress underneath. Body temperature can be regulated much better with this mattress topper than without. I can finally sleep! I highly recommend this mattress topper. I also recommend putting it on a firm bed that doesn't sag like the one I bought. Added 2.5 years after purchase. About a year ago I wanted to replace this pad because hundreds of small microcracks made it too soft. Small cracks cause the texture of the egg crate to collapse so I don't get the support and ventilation I had when it was new. When I sleep in the middle of the rug, in an area where there is little movement, it still feels firm and comfortable, but in the spots my husband and I sleep on it feels like a flat one Pillow, not like an egg crate. . I'm only 110 and my husband is 130 pounds so I think he should have carried our weight better. It also absorbs sweat, so I had to try deodorizing it by sprinkling baking soda on it, letting it sit, then vacuuming it up. it's happening However, I will keep it and use it for camping after the exchange. I plan to cut it in half so I can make two sleeping pads for the tent. Overall I would say this rug was great for a year and has become less comfortable over time. My husband sweats at night so I bought an egg crate design to allow air to pass under his body but after about a year he drowned in it. I have fibromyalgia and a lot of pain so it's important for me to have a good back brace that supports my bones. around $50 for a queen, it's unreasonable to expect it to last for years. I hate throwing out litter and making junk for landfill so I'm glad I can still use it for camping and probably donate it to an animal shelter or someone who is homeless.
